The Dell Precision M6700. I personally think this thing looks boring, not a big fan of the keyboard…
However the best about this machine is that the M6700 benefits from having a lot of compatibility with using Alienware GPUs!
Some of these are painted orange, I think this is the Covet edition.
Not much to say, I’m going for my third post, so lets go!!!
M6700 – $230 – 450 // 890 ~ 110 v 140
M6700 – $420 – 700 // 950 ~ 52 – 117 – Old pricing
7 Risky – $170 – 270 // 335
70 HDD – $225 – 500 // 750
23 SSD – $420 – 615 // 895
35 S-Furb – $350 – 465 // 690
42 M-Furb – $440 – 700 // 940 or 1300 (K5000M 1080p 32GB SSD, literally the bamf)
New/Other – None
New – None
No ‘new’ units. Surprisingly there aren’t seller refurbs that are masking themselves as manufacturer refurbished.
7 i5 – $240 – 330 – 380
55 i7 QM – $350 – 470 // 800
15 i7 XM – $520 – 600 // 920 or 1300 (lol)
38 16GB – $290 – 570 – 760
14 32GB – $460 – 800 // 1300
3 K5000M – $750 – 930
A few XM machines, some might of been filtered because I didn’t check each 102 i7 listing… Too bad.
I added the K5000M just coz, its the ‘best’ GPU it came with, I believe the 8770W did as well. Only two IPS models were advertised, and they are about the same price as K5000M but might have a different card.
25 Keys – $15 – 27 // 35 (can come w/ palmrest)
9 Mobo – $60 – 80 // 150
8 FHD LCD – $67 – 90 // 140
40 Battery – $18 – 30 // 45 (new are sold at $30)
Charger – $22 – 60 // 80 (240W and 330W are why its $50 plus, most 130W are sub $30)
Keyboards are cheap, screen are a bit harder to source, and motherboards aren’t as pricey as the 8770W. Batteries are surprisingly cheap, but the charger is where you get rekt. These are power hungry, I think the W530 requires 170w or 210W, the HP required 200W, but if you are getting a quadcore i7 M6700, chances are you want to get the 240W adapter to be safe, there is a 330W adapter lol, with DP/N Y90RR, which it shares with a few Alienware machines. You can get this for $60 if you search for that unit specifically, but I am not sure for our international friends on what it’s cost will be.
I highly recommend buying a OEM charger, I would not in the life of me, trust a 3rd party unit for charging your machine. Don’t buy it, who cares if it comes with a warranty, your laptop can die from it!
