THIS RACE WAS BORING. Clown fiesta. the only “good” part of the race was Lap 1. there was overtaking, there was bumps & a crash. other than that, no one spun, bumped hard, or did anything much the entire race….
DOTD was Max Verstappen, but we FUCKING STAN Fernando Alonso.

For those who don’t know (no one), I stan Red Bull, and am NOT a Merc fan after their fucking domination and cucking of Valterri Bottas. Also Sergio Perez “Checo” is the driver I root for along others (KMag, Gasly, Zhou, Leclerc), but goddamn I was on suicide watch at the start of the race…. Sergio tried to cut off Sainz by cutting left and he couldn’t do it, and then everyone behind him caught up to him, I think he was in 5th place????
Bro I was so mad when I saw this part of the race. I was trying to get my X300 thinkpad working earlier, but i havent used it in like 4 years and fucking Neptune or whatever linux distro I was using was being a pain in the ass so it wasn’t updating, and it was fucking super slow… mostly the fault of the SL9200 or whatever 1.2 anemic ULV C2D that thing has. About this time of the race, I busted out the Z61t I had and logged into the twitch chat and brooo. omg….

The good morning chat was collectively liking it. Alo did not yield and Hamilton took the brute of it. We weren’t sure if hamilton was going to make it to the end, or if there was going to be any penalties. Ham looked like he was slowing down, but I really didnt notice all the smoke coming out of his car, I thought it was dust. However he did started to slow down after awhile, team orders for him to stop the car. He was leaking some sort of fluid, the announcers were thinking his under body aero was fucked up, probably was too.
During the replays we can see there’s oil or some sort of liquid coming out of Ham’s car. Alo’s camera was drenched with whatever it was, and my god Alonso’s comments are spot on. Seriously Ham cannot do shit this season, he is being bested by George Russel, and thankfully Rus isn’t getting fucking cucked like Valterri was… probably bc he was sort of shit, but honestly prob would do better if like… idk he wasn’t mated up to a WDC. This season the merc aero sucks ass, and Ferrari seemed to be pretty fast, but redbull is just faster in the straights in the race and well… that really makes you win a gran prix. Oh yeah, and Ferrari is sooo fucking bad at team strategy. They’ll throw a fucking win due to their pit/tire strategy and other nonsense….
Goota love the quote from alonso tho. “This guy only knows how to drive and start in first.” Might not be a perfect quote from Hamilton, he did have the fastest car since the hybrid era, but goddamn does he drive like it’s not a 3rd place car… #stillirise
Other than that. There was a few cars who started in the back due to grid penalties. Max fucking won the race, thanks to a new power unit, but the fucking grid penalty didnt matter. There were other drivers, Ocon, Schumacher, Bottas, Leclerc, Norris & Zhou, oh and Tsunoda got a last minute penalty & had to start from the pit lane… also had grid penalties with him. Because there was multiple penalties who start at 20, the qualifications put the sort order on top of that. Max started 14th and Leclerc started 15th, his rival since karting & was currently in 2nd place b4 this race started….
Max fucking zoomed the fuck up thru all of the grid. the race was boring for the most part, really not many battles unfortunately, dry as fuck weather and no crazy pit stop gaffs. Lec had some smoke come from his front right tire and Ferrari said to pit and change tires for assurance. This was like during lap 5 i think? it was under the virtual safety car, which you just gotta drive like 30% slower or some shit, he got fucked bc if it was an actual safety car, he’d probably not fall so far behind after the pit. Max didnt pit and well, he went the way fuck up, only him, Leclerc & Sainz were on softs I believe at the start, so Max had a lot of grip. Sainz for some odd reason didn’t really get that far away from Perez, luckily he was over 1.4s ahead of him iirc and Perez couldn’t get the DRS to boost him thru the straights. Max passed Perez eventually and Sainz pitted b4 Max could even bother him… but pretty much the race was done after.. lap 20? I was falling asleep during the race, and the good morning twitch chat wasn’t saying much as well. probably the most boring F1 race overall this season but the “best” 1st lap start, maybe.
Lets skip to the end. Ferrari wants to make the most out of this race, its lap… 42 i think or 43 amd there’s only 44 laps this race. They tell Charles Leclerc to pit, he is in P5, & they are thinking they are far enough from Alonso in P6 that they could pit and get the fastest lap. Whats special about that? Well you get an extra point for fastest lap, currently Max Verstappen has fastest, and for the risk seem low for Leclerc to get it, because they are much faster than the Alpine that Alonso is in, even if he is behind, he should be fine. Carlos Sainz couldn’t pit bc George Russell was pretty close to him, about 2.2+ seconds behind him, so the extra point would be null bc the points you get in 3rd vs 4th.
During the Pit exit, Alonso was fairly close to Lec, but it just depends on how well Lec could gun it and how good the new Softs will stick. They are faster than the Mediums Alo is in, but NEW tires vs used tires are almost always a losing battle because of the temperature the used tires offers more grip than the new ones barely starting out, you’re prone to slipping on the new tires for the first lap if you dont do it right and if you get a bald spot, it’ll screw your lap times and eventually the race.
The pit worked for Alonso, he was within 1s of Leclerc and really at his tail during the straight. Alo picked up the DRS zone and was able to pass up Lec. He was 202 mph while lec was 194 mph, there was no reason why Alo wouldn’t pass him. Lec would of wasted a lot of time defending and perhaps made a mistake too. So ALO passes him and for the most part, was in front of Leclerc for lap 43 and i think a bit of lap 44.
Fucking F1 director NOT SHOWING leclerc…. but has to fucking show the 1st place person during the race. literally you dont need to do this, no one cares, the battle right now is all we care about, it don’t matter who’s in front. Seriously just cut to 1st place when they are 2s before crossing the line…. instead we get about a minute of max driving around, with no one even challenging him.
Lec eventually passes up Alonso and tries to get the fastest lap. We dont get to fucking see it. Also this race is stupid, because there is no victory lap, you have to go into the pit lane backwards instead. So, for some reason the camera has to go on the top 3 and not on lec. However… i dont know where this happen, maybe at the end of the race? But some how Charles Leclerc got a 5 second penalty for speeding in the pit lane. I literally think he speed up too fast at the end of the race, before he could park his car…. yeah. So guess who fucking got P5????
P5 mother fucker!!!
If Ocon was a bit faster, he might of snatched the P6 from Leclerc, but he was about .7s behind after the penalty
