Haswell Laptops 2013 – 2015 (old prices)

Haswell laptops – Work In Progress – started 10/21/2016

This is incomplete, but this will be the big list, I will update as I go along.

I will make a page to categorise these laptops when research is completed.

LISTING FORMAT

E.G T440p – $230 – 370 // 500  ~ 53 v 225 – Lenovo ThinkPad T440s – Specifics & Info – Miscellaneous

  • $230 – The low recommended price to buy a complete & decent system at a great price! Sometimes these can be sold underneath this price but may need service or just hard up for cash. I try to filter out ‘AS IS’ sold laptops when finding the lowest price.
  • – 370 – My recommended high buying price. These can be a fully spec’d unit that sells for this much on auction. Some of these can be NIB, or in excellent condition.
  • // 500  – The max price you should pay before considering something else or you MUST have it.
  • These should be in flawless condition, fully spec’d, w/ a warranty and/or completely new in box, however this may not always be the case because of demand. This price is based on top rated sellers, refurbishers & OEM direct recognition.
  • There are some people who sell these still at a higher price than this, but in reality its because people are confident from that brand or location they are sold at. This is probably local store shop price.
  • There is one exception is that GAMING laptops seem to never be in new or still in warranty at this price. These can units that were GPU upgraded, in excellent condition or comes w/ a lot of gear!
  • ~ 53 – This is how many is active listings on ebay at the time of my research. If the number is low, then many didn’t sold originally or everyone just doesn’t want to sell one!
  • v 225 – How many laptops sold within six months at the time of my research. The more numbers, the more accurate I can be with pricing. However if there is low amount of sold laptops and a lot of active listings, these laptops are most likely overpriced.

14A – $290 – 390 // 500? ~ 7 v 22
15A – $310 – 460 // 580  ~ 5 v 18

  • Z Canvas is a 12.3″ Tablet 2.2GHz i7-4770hq aimed directly at the Surface
  • For the Pro touch $650 was going to be ‘highest’ but plenty of ppl paid more.
  • Pro 3… with options such as 16GB RAM & NVMe 1TB SSD
  • The Fit Flip 13A seems to break easily given a third of them had broken screens!
  • And the Fit 14A is a budget machine, so damage by user error is worse!

Clevo

Gaming & ‘CAD’

P770ZM – $800? – 1100 // ????    ~ 1 v 1
P670SG  – $750  – 999   // 1550   ~ 3 v 4
P377SM – $770   – 1000 // 1400   ~ 2 v 3

W230SS – $530   – 700   // 900?   ~ 1 v 1 – Two units sold were stripped. Not included.

  • Some of these were sold as Sager & Eurocom, w/ the Clevo model, some were not.
  • Some of these have GTX 8xx instead of 7xx, which is why they vary in prices. This applies to all gamer laptops

Alienware

14 – $350 – 690   // 900   ~ 24 v 103

15 – $565 – 900   // 1200 ~ 13 v 41 – 2015 laptop w/ GTX 900m GPUs

17 – $635 – 1000 // 1450 ~ 24 v 105

18 – $750 – 1600 // 2400 ~ 22 v 38

  • Quite a few of these are sold AS IS and without AC adapters. The AS IS is because they don’t want gamers to resend the laptop back because they find out that when gaming they only get 60 FPS instead of 60.000000000001 FPS like 1 out of 500 benchmarkers said they did.
  • If you are buying an AC adapter, please buy OEM and research what wattage you need for that GPU you have! Also it doesn’t hurt if you spend  extra on a bigger power brick. You never know if you are going to upgrade the GPU.
  • Some of the sub $1200 laptops were double and triple listed because of damn sub 10 rated buyers. They aren’t even real buyers, just bot accounts with small purchases that bid on certain keywords.
  • I’d wager if you are very serious on the item still, that you message the seller that you are a real account and if the final bid goes to a bot account you can get a second chance offer on your highest bid!
  • I saw this because some people sell it as a BIN at that price, on the same day or later. These sellers are most likely hard up
  • I searched while using eBay’s advanced search for 4th Gen Core Processors, I didn’t bother filtering results from ‘unspecified’ processors.

Toshiba

S55C      – $300 – 520 // 640   ~ 17 v 22 – Satellite Series
S55T      – $290 – 560 // 740   ~ 44 v 75 – Satellite Series, Entry gaming laptop?
P55W     – $300 – 450 // 530   ~ 9  v 61 – Radius 15″ tablet lol
X75        – $485 – 700 // 1000 ~ 1  v 12 – Qosmio Gaming/Media
Kira-101 – $250 – 670 // 1000 ~ 4  v 12 – Kirabook (Ultrabook)

  • There’s more Toshibas but I don’t want to spend too much time bothering to find out what each E, C, L, S models are different, so you get only a few. 🙂

Asus

Q301    – $150 – 265 // 330 ~ 9   v 32 – Vivobook 13″
UX301 – $280 – 600 // 780 ~ 17 v 19
UX302 – $220 – 370 // 450 ~ 5   v 8 – i5, dGPU & slightly thicker UX301
G750JW – $340 – 700 // 850 ~ 12 v 61
G750JX  – $530 – 760 // 900 ~ 5 v 13
G750JZ   – $600 – 730 // 850 ~ 5 v 8 – Most expensive of all G750’s at launch.
X750J     –  $300 – 440 // 540 ~ 3 v 10 – JA & JB models

MSI

GE60 – $360 – 600 // 800 ~ 6 v 28 – Don’t even bother with buying NIB units
GE70 – $450 – 700 // 850 ~ 18 v 46
GS60 – $500 – 800 // 1000 ~ 23 v 55
GS70 – $450 – 900 // 1100 ~ 34 v 73

  • I guess there is stealth, ghost and pro variants of all these which have different specs. I will not even bother searching the differences as I had a lot of inconsistencies when pinpointing these (damn) models.

Razer

Blade 2013 – $400 – 750   // 900   ~ 5   v 31? – 765m
Blade 2014 – $500 – 850   // 1000 ~ 10 v 42 – (QHD Panel, 870m GPU)
Blade 2015 – $680 – 1150 // 1300 ~ 8   v 16 – (Early 2015, basically an FHD 2014 model)

Thats all folks!! 😛
